MISSION

MEMRA exists to provide academic content in ancient languages and biblical theology to serious students in an online environment. It does not grant degrees or certificates, or award academic credit.

DISTINCTIVES

MEMRA courses are not devotional in nature. Rather, MEMRA seeks to provide academic content at a level similar to what would be experienced in an undergraduate course. Students are expected to put sufficient time into coursework. The emphasis is on learning to think through content, not casual exposure.

MEMRA courses are text-driven. The biblical text takes precedence over creeds and denominational distinctives. Critical methods employed by scholars are valued for what they contribute to serious biblical study but are evaluated in terms of their logical coherence and presuppositions.
